Refund, Cancellation, and Rescheduling Policy

1) Scope: Services + Digital Deliverables
This policy applies to purchases made through Meleika Lee & Associates (“MLA”) for:
- Digital deliverables (e.g., Starter Pack, checklists, templates, guides)
- Professional services (e.g., Feasibility Snapshot, Pre-Design Packet, Premium ADU/Investor Package, consultations, site review/analysis, concept direction, permitting game plan support)
- Design/engineering services (e.g., architectural design, civil engineering, structural coordination, plan sets, revisions)
2) Digital Deliverables: No Returns
Because digital products are delivered immediately and cannot be “returned,” all digital deliverable purchases are final and non-refundable once the download link, email delivery, or access is provided.
3) Feasibility Snapshot / Pre-Design / Premium Packages
These services are time-based and begin soon after purchase through intake review, research, and analysis. For that reason:
- Non-Refundable Once Work Begins - Purchases are non-refundable once work has started, including any of the following: intake review, jurisdiction/zoning review, preliminary measurements, constraints screening, early concept input, risk identification, or drafting of findings.
- Mistake / Duplicate Purchase Window - If you purchased in error, you may request cancellation within 4 hours of purchase only if MLA has not started work and no deliverables have been sent.
- Processing Fees - Eligible refunds (if any) may exclude non-refundable payment processing fees charged by Stripe/your bank.
4) Deposits, Retainers, and Scheduled Capacity
If your purchase includes a deposit, retainer, rush fee, or reserved scheduling block, it is non-refundable once applied to booking time on our production calendar, kickoff preparation, document review, coordination with third parties, or preliminary analysis.
5) Rescheduling Policy (Calls / Kickoffs)
- You may reschedule a call with at least 24 hours’ notice.
- Late reschedules (under 24 hours) or no-shows may be treated as forfeited and are not refundable.
- If you miss your appointment, MLA may offer one courtesy reschedule at our discretion.
6) Revisions and “Fix-It” Remedy (Instead of Refunds)
If you believe MLA did not deliver the purchased scope, notify us within 5 calendar days of delivery at [email protected] with your project address, invoice number, and what you believe is missing.
MLA’s primary remedy is to revise/correct the deliverable to meet the scope you purchased. Refunds are not guaranteed and are considered only if MLA cannot reasonably correct the issue.
7) Important: No Refunds for Permit Outcomes or Jurisdiction Decisions
MLA cannot guarantee permit approval timelines or outcomes. Refunds will not be issued due to:
- Plan check comments, corrections, or re-submittals required by the jurisdiction
- Zoning interpretations, code enforcement decisions, or discretionary review requirements
- HOA decisions
- Utility, easement, or third-party constraints
- Project feasibility changing due to new information not available at the time of review
8) Budget, Schedule, and ROI Disclaimers (Premium/Investor Packages)
Any budget ranges, schedules, yield calculations, or ROI projections are planning estimates only and not guaranteed. Construction costs, interest rates, contractor pricing, rental markets, and jurisdiction requirements can change. Purchases are for MLA’s professional analysis and deliverables—not guaranteed financial or permitting results.
9) Chargebacks & Disputes
Please contact us first at [email protected] before filing a dispute. If a chargeback is filed after work has begun or deliverables have been provided, MLA may suspend ongoing work and provide documentation to the payment processor showing fulfillment.
